Kartik Prabhu

- a tale of two minds

I do science! I am working towards a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago. This means, I spend a lot of time thinking about cool things that no one cares about, like black holes, quantum fields and mathematics!

Currently, I am working on proofs of black hole stability in General Relativity (turns out this is not easy to do, and hence a lot of fun!).

You can find my earlier work on the arXiv.

I do art! I mostly practice street and abstract photography, though I will shoot anything in sight. I am really bad at using oils and generally stick to acrylics, pastels and pencils; or just GIMP for drawing. I also write short fiction on occasion and have recently found an appreciation for haiku.

I frequently play around with HTML/CSS/Javascript, and love the recent responsive web-design ideas.
